Residential pool service & chemical supply for Chicagoland homeowners.

Seasonal openings and closings, weekly chemistry service, on-demand chemical supply, and equipment repair for homeowners across Inverness, Barrington Hills, South Barrington, Long Grove, and Schaumburg. Same CPO-certified crew that runs commercial pools across Chicagoland.

What we do for home pools

Pick the service that matches where you are in the season — or ask us about a combined monthly plan that bundles opening, weekly service, and closing into one contract.

Seasonal pool opening

Winter cover removal, equipment startup, initial chemistry, VGB drain cover inspection, and a walkthrough of anything that needs attention this season. Booked April–May.

Seasonal pool closing

Equipment blow-out, heater and pump drain-down, chemical stabilization, safety cover install. Chicagoland winters don't forgive a skipped closing. Booked September–October.

Weekly chemistry service

Weekly or bi-weekly testing, chemical dosing, basket cleaning, and skim. Monthly service plans include chemicals and digital service reports. Ideal for homeowners who want clear water without managing it.

Equipment repair & replacement

Pump, filter, heater, salt cell, and automation diagnostics and repair planning for common residential pool equipment brands. Existing-client emergencies are routed for priority review during peak season.

Leak detection & liner coordination

Pressure testing, dye testing, and leak location on pool + spa plumbing. Liner and plaster repairs coordinated through licensed subcontractors — one point of contact, one invoice.

Pool chemical supply

Bulk and per-visit chemical supply for homeowners who run their own pool. We deliver trichlor, cal-hypo, muriatic acid, algaecide, stabilizer — commercial-grade chemistry at volume pricing. A major slice of our residential business.

Why homeowners pick us

Not the guy who shows up with a bucket of shock.

Homeowners choose Aqua-Guard because they want someone with a commercial-grade service standard on their own pool — without having to manage another vendor every week.

Commercial-grade discipline

We service commercial and HOA pools across Chicagoland under documented operating standards, alongside residential service work. Your backyard pool receives the same chemistry discipline, equipment review, and service documentation mindset.

Certified pool operators

Residential work is supervised by experienced pool operators, with CPO/AFO-level knowledge available for chemistry, equipment, and safety questions when needed.

One team, one phone number

Dispatch, chemistry, equipment repair, and seasonal scheduling run through our Schaumburg office, giving homeowners one accountable point of contact.

Family-owned since 1992, with decades of Chicagoland pool experience informing opening, closing, chemistry, and equipment recommendations.

Residential pool service FAQ

The questions homeowners ask us every spring.

Where do you service residential pools?

Our primary residential territory is Inverness, Barrington Hills, South Barrington, Long Grove, and Schaumburg — with active work across the broader Chicagoland northwest and North Shore corridors. If you're in Cook, Lake, DuPage, Kane, or McHenry County and unsure whether we cover your town, call and ask.

What residential pool services do you offer?

Seasonal pool opening and closing, weekly or bi-weekly chemistry service, bulk and per-visit pool chemical supply, equipment repair (pumps, heaters, filters, salt systems), vinyl liner and plaster repair coordination, and seasonal safety cover install or removal. Our residential entity (AGM Pools) runs chemical supply as a major line — many homeowners start there before adding full service.

How much does residential pool service cost?

Every pool is scoped individually — pricing varies by size, equipment, and service frequency. As a reference point, a typical service call in our residential book runs between a few hundred and roughly $600 depending on scope (hours of labor plus parts and chemicals). Season deposits for full-service homes can land in the mid four figures. Request a written quote and we will price your specific pool.

Are you insured and licensed for residential work?

Yes. Aqua-Guard Management is a licensed Illinois pool contractor that carries liability insurance for its operations. Residential work follows the same documentation, supervision, and service standards we use on commercial and HOA accounts.

Can you do emergency residential pool repairs?

Yes. For existing clients, urgent pump, heater, and filter failures are routed for priority review during peak season. Call (847) 277-9840 and ask for dispatch.

How many residential pools do you service?

Homeowners across Chicagoland's northwest and North Shore corridors — primarily Inverness, Barrington Hills, South Barrington, Long Grove, and Schaumburg. Our commercial side serves HOAs, condo associations, and clubs across the region, so residential techs benefit from the same chemistry discipline and equipment expertise.

Ready for a quote on your home pool?

Our team reviews the details and prepares a written scope. Most homeowners have a price in hand within one business day.
